Am I wrong to think "jailing" these peoples actions is just plain WRONG?



There is absolutely no way people would be jailed for leaving water in a desert in Australia.



Fine yes perhaps, jail no way.



Jails should be for violent offenders only.

Boat people are sent to offshore islands... given mobile phones, automatic washing machines and there is plenty of water in the tropics.....

We send them there to discourage others from illegally entering the country, and in doing so jeopardising their lives and those of their children.
