Native to Brazil, they are called Jacaranda.



Melbourne, Perth and Cape Town have mature trees with amazing displays.



They start flowering in November.

That is a nice example.  It seems to me that Rancid has also posted pics of jacarandas, but perhaps not here.

Speaking of him, is he on strike or did he just forget to pay his internet provider?
