Quote from: "caskur"I know all the wars formerly started in the Balkans but I didn't keep all the details of the politics in my memory.

I need my memory for good stuff and political history isn't one of them. I studied German history from 1850, to the day Hitler marched into Poland in 1939.

I only like other artists and people who love peace and a beautiful planet...

Balkaniztion, ghettoizatyion, they are the result of multiculturalism.

They're building future ghettos in Perth atm...

I'd never thought I'd see the day that happened.

What do you mean? High crime areas populated by immigrants?

In our beautiful suburbs, they're building highrise...

And in bushland, ugly cement blocks.

I'll dig through my images later. In an hour, we're celebrating my mum's birthday today even though she died last year. A family get-together.

Urban sprawl.

Yes, they claim they're fighting urban sprawl but they're just making other problems like filling up our suburbs with MORE cars and less mature trees making summer hotter than hell.

So what is the solution?

People have to live some where.

They need to live where there are no permanent water restrictions.

They want to bring back populations to dying country towns.

It's a dilemma.

We don't have many places like that.

It's the same thing in Israel. We've absorbed many immigrants from all over the world in a short period of time. Some are professionals from developed countries. They are not only easily absorbed they a net benefit within three months of arriving. But, we also have 130,000 Ethiopians. Many are illiterate and can't assimilate into a high tech nation like Israel.

Mass immigration leads to problems. Low and slow is best for integrating immigrants.

Did you check out the average driving skills around those areas? Clown car drivers without the outfits. You have to navigate like you're a frog in a metro swampland full of cross eyed snakes.
Blahhhhhh...

Bricktop

You forget, I am from Adelaide.

Son, I've driven in every State, across the length and breadth of the UK and even in Italy. I've travelled in the US, Asia and SE Asia.

I am also a former police officer.

The worst drivers in the world are in Adelaide. No contest.

Richmond, BC has the worst drivers in the world.

There are lots of places like Richmond in Australia too.

I could not begin to guess. In my opinion, these are some of the factors;

Absolutely pathetic driver training and development programs, particularly for immigrants.

A sense of road ownership that compels drivers to display appalling etiquette.

Poor road design and lack of infrastructure investment leading to driver frustration.

Licences available at age 16 - too young.

Inexperience in driving at highway speeds.

Insufficient police.

All factors that apply to here too.

All of them are driving on the wrong side of the road.

Bricktop

No, we drive on the left side, which is the right side.

It took some getting used to when we were in Japan.

I've driven on the left side of the road everywhere from Botsawana to Bangladesh. I am okay with the steering column on either side.
