https://www.foxnews.com/politics/berkeley-will-remove-gender-terms-including-manhole-and-manmade-from-city-code">Berkeley is removing gender-specific words in its municipal code.

It will switch words like "he" and "she" to "they" and "them" in the city code.

"Manholes" will be changed to "maintenance holes" and references to manmade will be changed to "artificial."

Terms like fraternity or sorority will be changed to "collegiate Greek system residence."  ac_biggrin

Other terms that will be changed include pregnant woman or women. It will be switched to pregnant employees.

Brothers and sisters will be switched to sibling.

And speaking of Berkeley, it became the first city in the US to ban natural gas hookups in new homes.

Wazzzup

David Brenner did a bit on Johnny Carson' tonight show where he joked about changing manhole covers to personhole covers and Portugeuse man of war to Portuguese person of war.

That's how ridiculous the left is now, they can't even be parodied,

come up up with the most ludicrous, politically correct, idea you can think of, and they will get around to doing it.

Dumb, but not unexpected.

So, how are new homes supposed to be heated? Electrical? Where will they get the additional electricity from? Coal or natural gas fired power plants? Hydro? Wind and solar backed up by coal or natural gas?  How much more will this increase monthly bills for home owners?

Bricktop

The is poor personagement. The government has no persondate to make such personifestly idiotic changes. The people responsible for this outrage should be thrown in personacles and made to live on persondarins for a year.

Huperson society is rapidly declining.

Any place that decrees this kind of shit puts their middle class on the endangered species list. Vancouver will copy Berkeley.

The price of gasoline has gone down noticeably since Kenney axed the NDP's carbon tax. Power and heating bills are down too.

The former Liberal government in Ontario forced hundreds of thousands of people in this province into fuel/energy/home heating poverty. Ford's election brought quick relief, but Trudeau brought back back the burden.

I read California is wasting billions of dollars on storage and transmission problems that go hand in glove with green energy schemes.
