Yea  ac_unsure , taxing the millennials would be considered equality, but them regretting because they've messed up the economy and job market is something we can not risk.

How do we stop the risk of the damage they will cause to future generations with inrealistic expectations of government?

They won't regret anything... They have been conditioned to believe that they are special people and they take no responsibility for their actions, good, bad or indifferent.

Recent polls conducted by financial institutions show that on average, mellenials do not care about the rising rates of inflation in the US. In fact most of them aren't even engaged enough to understand what inflation is or what causes it, or what it means for their wallet... To them, it's some nonessential concept that has no consequences in their daily, IPhone addicted, vacuous lives....

That is a special kind of detached stupid. The reason being is that most of them have been sheltered and coddled to the point where the "real word", (the world that actually exists on a functional level), is some kind of vague outdated capitalist concept. To them, the real world is all about the latest phone app while avoiding the traditional responsibilities (employment, moving out from under your parents wing, etc) that indicate passage into adulthood. This adds up to basically a generation of spoiled, adult, pre-teens. And hold on to your hat because the generation coming up behind them (Gen Z or Gen whatever it is) is just as bad if not worse. Because you have to add in a rabid and insufferable penchant for leftist social justice, wokeism and a misguided ideological fascination with Democratic Socialism, AKA Communism. So like it or not, things are only going to get worse. All I can say is lock and load because it promises to be a bumpy sociological ride.

The conservative provincial government here introduced a financial literacy component to the school curriculum and the teacher's union and their socialist party opposition are determined to block it.

They aren't interested in a "comfortable middle class lifestyle". They want to be taken care of by the government.

One of the reasons there is a labor shortage in the US is the fact that these mellenial and Gen Z pukes think they should be paid a lot more than they are worth and that employers should provide them with 100,000 dollar medical insurance plans, flexible hours, a fantasyland work environment and a big pat on the back for doing less of a job than their Baby Boomer, or Gen X predecessors.... This adds up to a lazy entitled rabble that will sit in their childhood bedrooms, complaining and playing video games until they bleed their parents dry.

I thank God that my ex and I instilled a work ethic and a strong sense of personal responsibility into our girls. If any of them turned out like many of their peers have, I would have put a bullet in their heads.

There is a shortage of service workers in Canada too thanks to Trudeau paying people to do nothing. It's not as acute as in the US though.

Nothing wrong with that while she is young and going to school. BUT if she starts to see it as a career goal and is still working an unskilled part time type of job such as cashier, waitress, or burger flipper when she is 25 or older, then you got problems.

I'm seeing people in their late 20s and early 30s just floating along in unskilled positions bitching that their employers aren't "valuing" them as a worker and they honestly believe their bullshit... Seriously?... ac_wot And now you are starting to see the media echo that sentiment by blaming employers for not making employment attractive enough.

This is the legacy of "everyone gets a trophy", "everyone is a special person" and that self esteem is just granted to the individual simply because they draw breath....

Everyone should be able to enjoy their youth and have their frivolous carefree life but it needs to be tempered with some reality. There comes a time when everyone must grow up and take responsibility for their own success or failure in life... For most of us, no one is going to hand you that free of charge. When I look back on my life I realize that I was lucky. I TRULY was born to certain amount of privilege BUT it was never expected to last. I knew that with each passing milestone of my youth the safety net was going to be gradually pulled out from under me and I had to make my OWN way within the rules and boundaries of society. Kids today don't get that. They think there should be cradle to the grave safety net because they "deserve" and they are more than willing to trade away their independence, their liberty and worst of all, their self respect for that lie of safety.
