QuoteThe Leger poll, conducted for The Canadian Press after last week's French debate on Quebec's TVA network and this week's official English debate, put support for the Liberals and Conservatives at 31 per cent each, both down three points.

That was after last week's debate. the next one is tonight, so we'll wait and see.

I cannot stand MacLean's. They always show the Liberals, NDP or Greens doing better than what they are. Singh is their latest hero.

Our politics is becoming more like the states. I can hardly wait to get out of this country.

More non-Canadians claim they're getting voter cards from Elections Canada

More people are coming forward, claiming they're getting voter cards from Elections Canada – even though they're not Canadian citizens. As Silvana Benolich reports, some say it's happened more than once.

Conservative support is slipping. The Grits are at 35 with the Tories at 33% according to this Nanos poll.

The Tories are already shopping for a new leader. Peter McKay is the guy they want if the Globe and Mail is to be believed.

I can't believe Maxime Bernier is not doing better than he is.

Trudeau drops, Singh bounces as voters turn from Liberals

The latest poll conducted for the Sun as part of the DART Maru/Blue Voice Canada Poll shows the Conservatives sitting at 33% support nationally, the Liberals dropping to 28% and the NDP rising to 20%.

Pollster John Wright, partner at DART, notes his is the second poll in the last 48 hours that shows the Liberals dropping below the 30% floor. A previous DART poll showed that just 25% of voters believe the Trudeau Liberals deserve re-election — now those voters that had parked their votes with Trudeau are looking at other options.

Andrew Scheer's party has seen a jump in British Columbia, which could result in a bump in seats. The Conservatives are now at 38% support in B.C., up from 32% in September. The Liberals have fallen five points to 24% and the NDP sit unchanged at 22%.

British Columbia is the place where the Greens could have their best showing. The party currently has two MPs in that province and is sitting at 13% support.

Ontario has been seen as the big prize and the Conservatives, currently at 33%, and Liberals, sitting at 32%, are effectively tied there. The NDP becomes the wild card here as they show a 7 point increase to 18% support.

I would be interested in reading sasquatch's interpretation of the latest poll results. But, it seems clear to me it will be a Grit-Dipper coalition and that is the worst possible option.

That's pretty much sums it up. LPOC's support is bleeding to other parties like the bloc and the NDP. Nanos still has the LPOC higher in spite other pollsters like Angus reid and mainstreet starting to show a CPC lead with a BQ and NDP rise. same with DART maru.

Polling is showing a strong possibility of a coalition, but if jagmeet and the bloc can steqal enough of trudeau's support, the CPC can pull off a majority win, but we'll see if it was enough. Advanced polling has already started, so lets hope.

A Grit-NDP coalition means the Grits renouncing their half-assed support for TMX. Their unholy alliance will be devastating for Canada's resource sector.

Yeah. That would be a disaster. However,  the Liberals could just as easily strike a deal with the CPC and tell the other fringe dipshits to go pack sand, but I wouldn't see hat happening except for a liberal minority, because sockboy would be too butthurt to give up the PM's chair and would go with the unholy alliance just to stay as PM. Jagmeet could easily stab trudeau in the back and get in bed with the CPC on certain issues and screw the LPOC over and send us back to the polls and another shot at CPC majority.

So, The chances the TMX's survival is slim in a minority government situation, but not impossible. it would require somebody to be slimey

Without a majority Tory or Grit government, TMX is dead.

yeah, that's the likely outcome if everybody plays ball like expected, but it is politics. they can just as easily betray others for their own self-interest. I'm just trying to give a bit of optimism.

I'm not convinced TMX will be built even if the Grits got a majority.

Hey sasquatch, the number of people who voted in advanced polls is up 25%. That favours Trudeau.

Except whenever that happens, its usually people trying to REMOVE a government. We'll see on October 21st,though.
