You have to remember it was the mid to late 1800s, a time when so many countries were immigrating to the states. Anyone down South, took up arms to defend themselves. Since Union troops came down, burning, pillaging, raping, killing everything and everyone. They burned our crops, tore up railroad tracks cutting off supplies, and we were all hungry and dying down here, is why Lee surrendered.



Of course Lincoln created the first draft, and any immigrants that came off the boat were automatically drafted into the Union army by force. Also there was more immigrants in the North, but that does not mean there wasnt any fighting down South either.



There is a lot THEY dont want people to know, because the Demoncratic party likes racism, and uses minorities for votes.
