Sorry Blazor,  but you're an idiot. No, you're a lazy idiot.

That scare tactic Sask public employee's union is circulating is the Saskatchewan Emergency Powers Act which was enacted in 1989-1990 by the government of Grant Devine. It's never been used. Their union is saying Scott Moe would force parts of it on nurses to ger public sympathy. It has nothing to do with pandemic restrictions.

You are as bad as DD for passing off half truths as fact. Next time you fall for an internet meme or hoax make sure it's not about a province in Canada where posters here live.

Blazor is making himself look stupid clinging to horseshit like this. Does he know who Scott Moe is? If there is a Canadian equivalent of Ron Desantis, it's the premier of Saskatchewan. That was libtard provincial civil service union propaganda for fuck sakes.

Nah didnt know. Moving along.

WASHINGTON -- In a potential leap forward in the global fight against the pandemic, drugmaker Merck said Friday that its experimental pill for people sick with COVID-19 reduced hospitalizations and deaths by half.

If cleared by regulators, it would be the first pill shown to treat COVID-19, adding a whole new, easy-to-use weapon to an arsenal that already includes the vaccine.

The company said it will soon ask health officials in the U.S. and around the world to authorize the pill's use. A decision from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration could come within weeks after that, and the drug, if it gets the OK, could be distributed quickly soon afterward.

All other COVID-19 treatments now authorized in the U.S. require an IV or injection. A pill taken at home, by contrast, would ease pressure on hospitals and could also help curb outbreaks in poorer and more remote corners of the world that don't have access to the more expensive infusion therapies.

"This would allow us to treat many more people much more quickly and, we trust, much less expensively," said Dr. William Schaffner, an infectious disease expert at Vanderbilt University who was not involved in the research.

.........

The potentially game-changing results offer the promise of a completely new way of treating the disease, and represent what scientists hope will be the first of many successful antivirals.

The new treatment, molnupiravir, created by the pharmaceutical companies Merck (MSD outside of the US) and Ridgeback Biotherapeutics, targets the virus's life cycle, interfering with its replication by introducing errors in its genome. In this way, it soon stops being able to reproduce. ........
