Yes. It takes 3-4 weeks to reach any where near max antibodies



Same applies to second shot.



What shots do is to cause one's body to produce antibodies that both stop it from affecting you and in worse case be there to fight it off quickly (thus lessening the effect  if you do get it)

In about a month, you should have decent immunity, even with only one shot.
