Yes, and variant resistant covid boosters. This one ain't goin away

I like that this one is mRNA-specific .. meaning putting this now proven technology to work in other areas as well

Canada getting vaccine passport for international travel

Canada is getting a vaccine passport for international travel, Immigration Minister Marco Mendicino announced on Wednesday.

"We are working actively with the provinces and territories on a secure, pan-Canadian proof of vaccination for international travel," he said.

The vaccine certificate will be common across all provinces, and will include the holder's COVID-19 vaccination history, the date they got it, the type of jab they received and the location where they received their shot. It will be available to all citizens, permanent residents, and temporary residents living in Canada who are fully vaccinated.

As for a timeline, the passport will be ready to go "early this fall," according to Intergovernmental Affairs Minister Dominic LeBlanc.

You really need to try to get ahold of govt agencies to see where you stand with mixed doses and what to do about it ... if destination does not accept your status (which would be another thing to check out)

Either that or get another mRNA dose.

Dunno. Hard to say .. and if the not peer reviewed study Fox just posted is valid, vaccine protection against delta is quite poor  .. if true, it would be a gamechanger .. it shows Pfizer as quite poor .. Moderna mediocre but considerably better

If true we are back to square one, but at the same time other studies show vaccines doing well against it

EDIT: Uh Oh - it's a 50,000 person study by Mayo Clinic - Even suggests a Moderna booster for everyone

Time is also a factor as they fade over time

If correct, we are nowhere near where we thought & hoped we were

The director of the Oxford Vaccine Group said that because of the Delta COVID-19 variant, herd immunity is "not a possibility."

"I think we are in a situation here with this current variant where herd immunity is not a possibility because it still infects vaccinated individuals," professor Andrew Pollard, the director, told the UK's All-Party Parliamentary Group on Tuesday, according to ITV.

Pollard said he believes the virus "will throw up next is a variant which is perhaps even better at transmitting in vaccinated populations," adding that it is "even more of a reason not to be making a vaccine program around herd immunity."
