USA Deaths per 1 mil Pop = 224

Canada Deaths per 1 mil pop = 112

Equal? I don't think so.

Did you read the article you fat ugly retard.

Here I'll post it for you again you stupid whale.

QuoteIn March, Americans were dying from COVID-19 at a per-capita rate 3.6 times higher than that of Canadians. In the first half of April, it was 3.1 times. It was 1.7 times in the last half of April. In early May, death rates have been similar.

Obviously caskur didn't read the article. And I get it. Take NYC out of the picture and our death tally is similar to the USA. The death rate is dropping in NYC and because of that Canada and the US numbers are looking not much different.

And there is no need for the insults. Take that third grade crap to Rejected.

Yes, I read it... they're taking the numbers out for New York.

Whoever wrote that is just creating false beliefs.

There is no city in North America as congested as NYC. It skewed the American numbers. Now. Montreal is becoming one of this continent's hotspots, and it's primarily senior' centres, so it's possible the death rate in Canada could surpass the the US for the coming few weeks. These things are not static, they are in flux.

No city as congested?... lol

You forgot Chicago.

Chicago is not as congested as NYC. It's this continent's most sardines in a can like city.

They Chicago people are fleeing... the graph shows a drop in population.

I think all big cities in the USA have too many people.

They want my city in WA to climb to 5.3 million.

It's very sad for me and our environment to house that many people.

And growth in the suburbs of Chicago. But, as I said, no major North American city is as densely populated as NYC.

I remember back in the 80s it was double the population... London and New York combined were double digit... like 17 million or some ridiculous figure like that...

Chicago

area 606.1 sq kms and 2.76 million people

New York City

area 1,213 sq kms and 8.3 Million people

There is only 3 million difference...

Manhattan is the most densely populated borough in the USA..

So many people from the other boroughs as well as New Jersey commute there everyday swelling the population.

Manhattan has an estimated population of 1.63 million people, all living in an area of just 23 square miles. This gives Manhattan a population density of 70,826 people per square mile, or 27,346 per square kilometer. Manhattan is the most densely populated of the five NYC boroughs and also the most densely populated county in the United States. It is more dense than any city in the country and one of the most densely populated areas on earth.

And it's this density that turned NYC into the epicentre of COVID-19. That and inept ignorant leftist mayor(Bill De Blasio) who as late as the first week of March encouraged large gatherings.

Please include the stupid Governor of NY - He was a disaster

Just one of dozens of his screwups - Unbelievably he ordered covid active patients into Care Homes with all the expected happenings ... absolutely  horrific results numbering in the many 1000s

That single "seemingly impossible / absurd"  action played a big role in the numbers

Three states hit hard by the pandemic — New York, New Jersey and California — have ordered nursing homes and other long-term care facilities to accept coronavirus patients discharged from hospitals. The policy, intended to help clear in-demand hospital beds for sicker patients, has prompted sharp criticism from the nursing home industry, staff members and concerned families, as well as some leading public health experts.

"Nursing homes are working so hard to keep the virus out, and now we're going to be introducing new COVID-positive patients?" asked David Grabowski, a professor of health policy at Harvard Medical School. Instead, he believes that states should create COVID-only facilities for recovering patients discharged from hospitals.

Inhuman and stupid BASTARDS

This is why I want Australia's borders completely locked down..

Americans are nutjobs. Their leader is a nutjob. I don't want their tourist dollars

Why don't they just do what the native Americans did in the old days... just bang the oldies over the head and be done with it.

I very much doubt the coronavirus patients will have nurses. Who is going to nurse the sick ones?

Rancid is a good friend of mine..

So is Reaper... they're both missing. Freud warned us here we will lose our e-friends to this virus. I'm hoping that was just rhetoric.
