Just paid my property taxes (due date midnight tonight).



What the hell am I actually paying for?  Everyone here is on well water, we pay ourselves for private garbage pickup, police aren't required in safe White middle class neighbourhoods like this and simply don't patrol here...  Sure, the road is paved, but seeing a plow truck here in Winter is rarer than Sasquatch sightings...  Davey Tree comes every few years at most and does a quick trim around the powerlines...  I understand that houses can burn and firefighters may need to come, but when was the last time you saw a house burn?



I demand value for my money!
