I don't currently have a chainsaw.... last one was a generic piece of shit. I hope to do up the solar on my vehicle roof so that I can recharge an electric reasonably quickly.



I don't generally need to cut up trees unless it's blocking my road. Even a small electric chainsaw would serve the purpose. Score some of the sides and drive a steel wedge in till it breaks, then tow it sideways.



Keep a handsaw, axe, and hatchet in the vehicle but never needed more than an axe to get by....but I am getting older and I also can't be fussed.  :laugh:

I had a monster John Deere that was a hand-me-down from my dad. It was a bitch to start and waaaay too much blower for the work it needed to do around here. I sold it and bought the Ariens last fall. Its a 24" with 6 speeds forward, 2 speed reverse. It has a dumbass headlight in case I want to blow snow in the dark,...like that's going to happen.. :laugh3:



I only used it once last winter because the winter was so mild. In fact I don't even think I ran the oil burner last year. I heated the house with the pellet and wood stoves exclusively.
