It was today, just roughly a year after I was born, in 1977 that the plane carrying several band members crashed causing several fatalities. Post your Skynard songs here ladies and gentleman.



I'll start with this one. Surprisingly I've never heard it, but it is a damn good song that I think everyone would appreciate.

I only knew one song by that band..



I didn't know about a plane crash involving the band until Herman posted about them.....he's a fan of them as you know..



And this is a lovely song.

Thanks Fash, I thought it was a beautiful song as well, an undiscovered gem, a new favorite.

I looked them up and they spell their band name Lynyrd Skynyrd.

The only song I knew they sung was Sweet Home Alabama..

Yeah I screwed up and realized it lol. I literally just changed it before I seen this post  :laugh:

Sweet Home Alabama is a good one! They have many good songs and Im glad Herman changed your limited songs by them lol.

The biggest tragedy in rock and roll history. Skynyrd was not only the greatest Southern band, they were the best band period. They were the true bad boys of rock and roll, not those girly men, the Sones.
