Oilers lost, what a surprise?? Anyway, last 10 minutes of the game were the best.

It was a good, close game! Both goalies played really well. That was goaltender Ben Scrivens first home game as an Oiler. He was born in Spruce Grove.

Yeah, they were saying last night he was a local. We ran into someone we knew who is an exec with Finning, so we watched the game from the private box. Good food, good fun.

I've been in a private box before, but it was at the far end of the ice overlooking one net. Finning's box was dead centre....great view. I will post some pics of the game a little later on.

I like how they bring down that old style cable tool oil derrick and all the Oilers come out on the ice underneath it. The it goes back up by the jumbotron. Really cool! Do the Canucks have a fancy entrance for their players too when on home ice?



BTW, lots of Canucks supporters at the game.

The helmet is for the world championship and olympic games.

It's longer and more lights than what Rexall Place does, but overall I would say what the Oilers do is unique.



This was between periods a bunch of cute little ones from St Alberta played for a few minutes. I think the OIlers could actually beat these guys.
