It's criminal how they treat Russia.

The West, the US in particular thought they were going to turn Russia into a eunich lapdog like they did Japan. Good for Moscow for telling them they aren't interested.

If they are empty, what's the problem?

Full or not, it makes no difference.

There is an occasional nuclear submarine sailing on the baltic sea.

2x Ropucha-class

1x Ivan Gren class.

There are three more landing ships.

1000 men and 33 battle tanks.

NATO is pushing their buttons and flinging turds like a circus chimp.

Who can blame Russia for a similar scenario as the Cuban Missile Crises right on their Ukrainian doorstep.

Machinery and troops are flowing into the region as we speak.

There won't be war between NATO and Russia.

Hope not, but don't be surprised

We're all codependent but Russia might finally leave her "mah, mannn" and shut off the pipelines...not play nice.

Canada should be supplying LNG to Europe.

Canada issued a travel advisory for Ukraine because of Russian aggression.

Have countries reached the point of not flying over it en route?

Last go-round most countries flew around it while Malaysia decided to fly over it .. They lost 100s of people

The middle of winter Canadians go to Ukraine, not Cuba. Trudeau is an idiot.

What I'm referring to is ..  are overflights still allowed (or warned against by EU)

Over it is the shortest route from  much of EU to much of Asia .. which is why Malaysia tried it last time

I know that. I'm talking about how stupid Justine's travel advisory is.

That might sound like a simple option.

However, Russia will need to consider the long term impacts of demonstrating that it is unreliable as a commerical partner.

Russia needs the $$$$$ as much as Germany needs the gas.

Russia's problem is that the West has options. Russia does not.

Russia has always been represented in Western media and by Western politicians as some kind of invincible bogey man. Despite its massive military resources, it is still outgunned by NATO and the US both quantatively and qualatively. The West needs a Russian boogeyman to justify its massive military spending.

Russia can throw punches, but it cannot deal a knockout blow.

Canadians were buying up flights to the Ukraine until we were advised by our government not to.
