I've made my peace with the owner of that forum. I never was angry with him anyway. It was all for shitz and gigglez. However, if my account were deleted there, it wouldn't bother me in the least. The posters I like there also post here. And I don't have to step over geriatric white libtard nincompoops' gibberish to read what they have to say.

It's a new social media platform being built on the blockchain model.

It'll be subscription (modest and even then there will be "hardship" exemptions) but no ads at all.

Privacy-based and none of that purchasing-your-way-to-going-viral bullshit; an actual level playing field for everyone.

They'll even be using an intermediary for things like embedded YouTube videos so Google can't use that to surreptitiously track users.



I think they're getting fairly close to beta testing (I signed up to be a beta tester but won't know until it happens if I do get to be one).

That sounds interesting but there are tons of these new social media sites and most of them never seem to reach critical mass.  The few that do quickly change from their founding principles and eventually do what they claimed they would never do.  Maybe this one will be different though.



All I know is twitter is leftist cancer and when they can't find a reason to ban you they just make one up.  A couple weeks ago I got banned for supposed "evading a previous ban" except I literally just had one account for a dozen years and didn't even bother to use it until 2021.

Big tech woke tech has a monopoly. The GOP has said they want to tackle that if they win the House. But, I am not holding my breath for them to do that.

Add in that monopoly busting would be exceptionally populist and the GOP would be fools not to act.  Pass tougher competition laws and break up big business in doze s of economic sectors and you will restore free market competition, improve consumer choice, and spur more economic dynamism.

Agreed. The GOP has no choice, but to let the Dems be the corporatist party while they champion the cause of freedom and consumer choice.

I read through the last few pages. I don't know what got Biggie Smiles banned from another forum. But, it seems obvious he wants the ban lifted so he can resume posting.



He might have to swallow his pride and apologize to the owner for whatever he did or what the owner says he did. It's very difficult to get banned here. You have to be cognitively dysfunctional like Seamoron or a crazy woman-hating crybaby like Mel. Even then you have to repeat your sins one thousand times before Fash or Cronus will escort you off the property. Most admins aren't as tolerant as they are. You may have to bite the bullet Biggie Smiles, say your sorry and promise not to do whatever you did again. Something to consider.

It's different enough from the ground up that I have a decent amount of hope that it'll stick to its principles, at least for quite a while.



If it eventually starts mutating I can always find something that suits me more and jump ship again. One of the problems with current social media doesn't have anything to do with the companies themselves... it's that the user base gets attached to a platform and keeps using it long after it's proved to be a piece of info-harvesting intelligence agency infested social engineering dogshit.



Lots of people would rather stay in a familiar but horrible cage than strike out and find better accommodations.



I don't want to be like those people and Panquake is the best alternative I could find.
