I'm quite late to the party but I heard a tune from a Spotify play list I downloaded and this one was on it:
">
Blew my fucking mind.
Instantly into it, felt something was different though, through the build up and punch, and then literally stopped working, idled my machine down, and just gasm'd.
I wish more bands could do this sort of authentic fusion... no matter the genre. And for a country-ish band like Zac Brown's, that's no small feat. Lynard Skynard is long gone in the shadows but not in the hearts.
So I downloaded most of ZBB's albums, enjoyed them all but JEKYLL + HYDE really REALLY blew my mind....
I grew up listening to country music because of my mother and the need to have a radio on at all times... it wasn't always the best country music though. You could get a decent George Jones song immediately followed by some Faith Hill type person.
This Georgia band is a game changer to me. They've got nearly everything and anything in their muse and I hope they never have to apologise for any of it....
This is one of the bands old songs....
....with Sara Bareilles.
It's just a great group of artists.... kind of like Muse but from a Dixie bent.
