I am currently watching Frontline's special on the war in Ukraine.  Can you provide a brief summary of why protests are worthless and what the alternative is?  I will watch the full video later after I finish watching my current documentary.

Basically he says protests are won't do any good. You have to take the bull by the horns and free yourself from the tyranny of dependence on utilities and infrastructure. He is a self sufficient farmer. Not very practical for people who simply want more control over their own lives.

I like that idea but supposedly the government's goal is to shutdown much of the animal ranchers/farmers and seize their land via giant fines.  All to reduce nitrogen run off which has already been reduced 30% or more in the last 40 years.  Now, most of the nitrogen run off doesn't even come from Dutch farmers but from upstream in Germany, pet waste or yard run off, or from wild animal poop.  Yet only farmers are being targeted for some reason.

It is hard to see how this is political and in the service of an agenda against meat production.  It certainly is not just following the scie certainly or else all nitrogen sources would be targeted.  The Dutch government has even admitted its goals are to shit farmers down and turn theor old farms into nature preserves or land for development.  That is hardly impartial.

Our prime minister is making life difficult for our farmers and consumers by limiting the amount of ferilizer they can use to meet it's climate goals.

I encourage the protests by Dutch farmers.

You will notice that this all has been pushed by the WEF for years and now Canada and the EU are doing exactly what the WEF wants.  All things equal, sure, less run off is better, but, due to fertilizer shortages and high fuel prices as well as lack of pesticides and fungicides (not te mention the war in Ukraine and export bans in several countries) we are facing a global food shortage.  So why artificially reduce food supply further when there is already a global shortage?  Are they trying to start a famine?  I wonder because they have to know what these ill considered policies will result in.

Lastly, the incompetence is unreal.  We see eco-extrenists cheering for high gas prices, fertilizer shortages, and natural gas shortages.  They wrongly think this will result in less emissions, it won't,  it will just cause countries to switch back to more polluting fuels like coal or burning trash.  So far from being the supposedly good thing left wing extremists shallowly think this will make everything worse.  Not better.

The global shortage of diesel fuel effects everything but it especially hits farmers hard as all farm equipment as well as every truck used to transport farm equipment is fueled by diesel.  We all need food so policies which drive up the cost of food are inherently bad especially when they are being done deliberately in a time of global shortage.

When faced with starvation we will see massive refugee flows but that, again, is probably what Klaus Schwaub wants.  He seems to want to destabilize old nation states so they can be replaced by a new elite run global techno state (run by people like him and his friends, of course).  I just don't see that as a good thing.

Canada has some real jack ass laws.  The NWT in Canada passed a law making it illegal for farmers to sell their produce directly to customers.

There is some crazy corruption going on there.
