The disease itself got a good deal of the fat and elderly out of the way, both groups which might be construed as liabilities in the production/consumption stakes (at lest as far as the ruling class are concerned).  The jury is still out on how much damage it's done to the reproductive cycles of the younger generations, though the stories of children coming down with hepatitis like symptoms due to lockdown measures are well documented. I'll warrant a good two thirds of those suffering from it will be flat out living to a ripe old age. As far as population control goes, I think you'll find they got a significant measure of what they were chasing if that were the case.



Trudeaup is simply looking to stir up division among the plebs at this point I imagine. Stir up discontent among the masses, get them fighting among eah other. It's better than having say... a bunch of truckers landing on your doorstep to register their disapproval of his antics.
