With his party struggling in the midterms, his economic stewardship under fire and his overall job approval under 40%, a clear majority of Democrats in the latest ABC News/Washington Post poll say the party should replace Joe Biden as its nominee for president in 2024.



In the November midterm election ahead, registered voters divide 47%-46% between the Republican and the Democratic candidate in their House district, historically not enough to prevent typical first-midterm losses. And one likely voter model has a 51%-46% Republican-Democratic split.



Looking two years off, just 35% of Democrats and Democratic-leaning independents favor Biden for the 2024 nomination; 56% want the party to pick someone else.



The president's standing customarily is critical to his party's fortunes in midterms -- and Biden is well under water. Thirty-nine percent of Americans approve of his job performance while 53% disapprove, about where he's been steadily the past year.



Specifically on the economy, with inflation near a 40-year high, his approval rating is 36% while 57% disapprove -- a 21-point deficit.



Each election has its own dynamic but in midterm elections since 1946, when a president has had more than 50% job approval, his party has lost an average of 14 seats. When the president's approval has been less than 50% -- as Biden's is by a considerable margin now -- his party has lost an average of 37 seats.

The other half of the time... well okay, you may have a point. He certainly is capable of reading things like "repeat the line" aloud... occasionally. And that is the clearest writing on the wall for the rest of us; Biden is assuredly a steward, occupying the position under the say-so of others for as long as he can be presumed by enough people to be legitimately calling the shots and more importantly doing exactly as he is told.



The guy is clearly demented. The signs of his encroaching dementia were clear to see on the campaign trail, at least to those of us not suffering our own cognitive shutdowns due to rampaging Trump Derangement Syndrome. Anyone content to lay the blame in his lap with a "hopefully he can read the writing on the wall" would do well to give a cursory glance at that same wall themselves and see if they cannot see anything amiss in the arrangement. Biden is a puppet, a bit of window dressing in the finest traditions of the Wizard of Oz. Check the wall, then take a peek behind the curtain Dorothy. Recognize there is no tapping your ruby red slippers to get you out of this crap.



I put it to you that Biden has no say in the matter at all. His corruption and appalling lack of decorum around the kids render him easily blackmailed by those with the receipts and are the most compelling reasons why he is there. He can barely finish his own sentences on a good day, he surely isn't wily enough to extricate himself from the position for the purposes of retiring to Delaware and staying the fuck there or he might have done it long ago. He will either die in that office or be deposed for that other puppet Kamala post midterms in the hope she might serve two and a half terms as the cackler in chief. She has her own skeletons in the closet, she also has the mental acuity to make it stick to a bunch of easily led numpties who are pitifully eager to swallow the leftist fear porn of what Orangeman might do then he hasn't even declared his attention to run yet in 2024. Better to be a part of that deranged and slavering hate mob than to be kicked out of Fecesbook and the Twatters, right? Right.

i would love to see you reg VF.... its currently the canadian branch of the CCP.... hardly any 'conservative' opinions whatsoever.... theres me.... dinky, shen and herman post on rare occasions.... and GET THIS - EVS has joined us!!!! seriously.... she said that the left has been completely poisoned and wants nothing to do with it.... at least for now.... i guess loch is still somewhat normal but he doesn't 'chime in' on political stuff as much.... he wants to chase all the tail and thats hard to do while you're waving an american flag.... especially in a forum full of blue-haired socialists/marxists/communists....

i heard you were closing up shop and i just wanted to say goodbye.... i know we got off on the wrong foot but we got it worked out pretty quick.... i like the hell outta most of you but i think my views are a bit too radical for your forum so i tend to do fly by posting rather than extended layovers.... even though i don't post here as much, i still read yall somewhat regularly.... i'm gonna miss yall and i hope wherever you end up is as pleasant and balanced as this place is.... good luck and Godspeed.... yall know where to find me and if i'm not there, i'm in jail or the morgue.... i know we disagree on almost everything but at least i know yall vote correctly.... maybe 2024 will be a better year.... so long, friends....
