And most of us probably won't make it... myself and my family included in that assessment..

But some of you people who can't realise the writing on the wall still need to hear it.

You and I are probably going to die horrific deaths in the next 1-3 years. I've made my peace with it though. I've also made peace with the prospect of being invaded, nuked, imprisoned, or slowly starved to death by multiple regimes at loggerheads but acting in concert.

If you can run, RUN, but find out where the best places to run are at BEFORE you're fucked....

Up on that mountain, there I'll make my stand!

Up on the Blue Ridge Mountains, there I'll make my stand!

Pistol in my pocket, rifle in my hand!

I've been all around this world!
I've come here to chew bubble gum, and kick ass. And I'm all out of bubblegum.

The time to run was 5 years ago (or more) so one could buy/build a decent shelter, establish a garden, properly reconnoiter the environs, etc.

At this point it's probably more beneficial to think along the lines of hunkering down where you are now, or having a plan to join up with a relative/friend who's better situated.

Best case scenario is it never actually has to happen but...

<looks around>

...best case scenarios aren't really what humans do, are they? lulz

I agree... to an extent, but this isn't for us.

If things get wild we all go to the cabin.

 If we die, we die.
My happiness is all of your misery. I put good dick all in my kidneys.

I use to think of bugging out to a spot in the woods, miles from everyone. But now, I have different plans. And if I have to bug out, we all talked of going to a certain friends house.

That's exactly what I did.  6 years ago.
