 States voting has ALWAYS worked.

As long as we have security measures it would be just fine. It's all this stupid bullshit fuckery that makes people not trust the system.

The United States is NOT a democracy. We are a REPUBLIC.

"And to the REPUBLIC for which it stands".  Yeah?

50 states with 50 unique voting systems and procedures. Hmmm what could possibly go wrong?

You know how many different federal  systems and ballots Canada, Australia, France, Australia and others have for their national elections?

1.

Canada has a mark the paper ballot with an X with 3 levels of security on election day. Plus the voter must show id, proof of address, vetbal identification via an on site election official.

And it's the same ballot and procedure in Nova Scotia or 3,000 miles away in Vancouver.

No of complaints or voter fraud/stolen elections in our country by liberals or conservative?

Zero. 0.

It is still open for shitbaggery. Most Canadians are labouring under the misapprehension they have a coice, whereas if you bother to do a little cursory digging, you learn that a good two thirds of canadian politicians at the federal level owe their allegiance not to Canadians, but to the World Economic Forum. Questions regarding the validity of the electoral process become meaningless when your nation's leaders are effectively a uniparty maintaining the facade of a choice.

Australia is no better; both their previous prime mincer Scomo and their current head wallah Anal both suckle at Klaus Schwab's groinal fucknugget. The Australian Electoral Commission is similarly in on the act, as they advised voters that candidates lacking any party affiliation on the ballot were there in error. It seems they were working their arses off to avoid a repeat of Pauline Hanson's runaway success of the 1990s (a conservative populist with a penchant for saying what the public had been crying for and who was subsequently vilified by the media as a result, sound familiar?) and consequently many votes that might have been cast for independents and smaller parties were cast instead for the WEF sponsored Labour and Liberal candidates. Labour swept the election, considering that had spent the year braying for harder lockdowns and more pressure on people to mainline Pfizer sauce, you could be forgiven for thinking your average Aussie was begging "govern me harder daddy", but the truth was a good many of them were simply low-information voters. They wanted so much to express their discontent at the situation of the previous two years, it never occurred to them to look too closely at the puppet being groomed as replacement.

France? I can't make much comment on their situation, other than to point out there were a ton of protests there over the last few years (remember the yellow coats?) yet seemingly all were crushed sufficiently to allow Macron another bite of the cherry. Really, if no-one is complaining about fraud or stolen elections, it's only because they're either a bunch of frightened rabbits or simply too plain stupid to notice that there are fingers on the scale at a number of points that forbid any reasonable claim of a "free and fair election".

Yes, even in Canada. Or are you telling me that the famously polite and agreeable Canadian populace think an accused child rapist and perennial blackface aficionado is the kind of guy who is best going to represent their interests?

Joe there are plenty of people in Canada that dont trust your elections.

It's also interesting to me that democrats have a long history of yelling fraud and claiming its rigged everytime they lose.  But now that another party is mistrusting and demanding transparency.....that's a problem.

We want better security for elections and the democrats are fighting that and accusing us of trying to stop black people from voting (because they claim black people dont have ID and cant get ID). That's how desperate and ridiculous dems are. Rather than understanding people have no trust in elections and taking measures to restore that trust....they go to bad faith and play an absurd race card that is blatantly false and insulting to black people.

So instead of working with the people they attack the people.

 What does that tell you?

And you cant just decide how a states elections are held. State rights are a big part of the separation of powers. That is definately not something that can be treated like some priviledge the federal gov can remove at will.

What happens when the federal government decides to make all the federal election rules for every state and decides absurdly loose standards? Like what Michigan just did?  Allow 9 days of mail in voting with no ID needed and no signature verifications or anything?
My happiness is all of your misery. I put good dick all in my kidneys.

However, your screwed up authoritarian semi-fascist hellhole of a country frowns on direct democracy. The US has all the same problems as Canada, but at the state level citizen initiatives are common.

I  think the counting of ballots in Canada is legitimate.

But the question of how well the country is run is a different matter.

For example the Conservative party actually received more votes than Trudeau's Liberals and yet he's still Prime Minister.

Perhaps one way to address this problem is to adopt an American system where we vote for the Prime Minister & our representative separately. It might make for divided governance with a conservative pm and a liberal parliament but at least the most votes would get a say.

Thats a flaw in our system which needs to be addressed. Likewise most votes even if its a losing candidate like Hillary should have gotten a say in running the US in 2000.

What the hell does that matter. We got political parties, but no political spectrum. Liberals or Conservatives it makes no frickin difference. Progressivism is the only ideology in Canada. This country is governed by the World Economic Forum and works for their interests not blue collar working stiffs in Moose Jaw, Sparwood or Sudbury.

The Republican Party must stick to the working class or face the fate of becoming extinct, a former governor warned.

"Let's hope it doesn't go back to the days of globalists, the days of just basically being servants to the big multinational corporations, that we become the party of the country clubs and the swells. Because if we do that we are destined to become extinct. And we should be," former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, a Republican, said during an interview with Fox Business.

"We've got to be the party of the working class. The party that cares about America, the party that believes that patriotism is okay, that it's fine to want to make sure that Americans and the American Dream is alive and well," he said. "If we focus on that, I still think that's a winning message."

Huckabee made the comments in response to a question about the anti-Trump narrative after the midterm elections on some media.

He acknowledged that the Republican Party is facing many challenges, including not having enough voters among the young generation, being censored on social media, and being entangled by the bureaucracy of government.

However, making the Republican Party a working-class party was one of Trump's main campaign messages back in the 2016 election.

"Five, 10 years from now—different party. You're going to have a worker's party. A party of people that haven't had a real wage increase in 18 years, that are angry," he told Bloomberg in 2016 when he was asked about his perspective on the GOP.

Trump also reinforced the domestic manufacturing sector and increased employment through his "America First" policies.

The Republican party needs to get more Blacks to vote for them.

They are trying and seem to be increasing their share among this group.

But they still lag considerably behind the Democrats in that dept.

Where they appear to have made inroads is the Latino community.

That's their bright spot and may hold the key to any future successes.

one weakness of the Democratic party is they take the Latino support for granted.

This is one nice voter the Republicans can draw support from

Garraty_47

In 'Murica the democrats and republicans are always morphing; one election Party(A) will claim to be champions of a particular issue or principle, another election it will be Party(B) who claims that mantle.

It's a droll little song-n-dance they do to keep the electorate interested and engaged (but never really educated or contextualized- that's skirting dangerously close to an "informed" electorate and that's the last thing the duopoly wants). And also, like any other play or musical, they siphon a few dollars out of our pockets for the privilege of watching them perform. Unlike most plays and musicals however the professional political theater is just a front for their own insider trading and other graft, corporate cronyism, international money laundering, and the levels of corruption that lots of people assume only really exist in movies.

Their choreography is so tight and seamless most people don't even recognize it as theater at all; that's only achievable because they aren't in reality two different parties... they're one corporate party with two different marketing divisions but they all work for and coordinate with the same oligarchs.

Electoralism is only one of the numbers in their production but it's rather important to maintaining the suspension of disbelief so they put a lot of razzle-dazzle and whiz-bang into it.

But ultimately it's just a show, just fancy footwork, just well-rehearsed and confidently delivered bollocks.

The whole production isn't an end in and of itself, it's merely a means to an end...

...the end being global hegemony. Total control in a very few hands.

They believe they're entitled to a comfortable idyllic life even if it means 99% of the humans on this planet scrabble, suffer and die in a poisoned hellscape not of their making.

But that's only to be expected since many who choose a career in any sort of theater were either born with or develop massive unsatisfiable egos.

Their thirst for power, wealth, and control is unquenchable but that won't stop them from gulping down every drop they can squeeze out of us. If the democrats and republicans actually opposed each other it would severely complicate the acquisition of that wealth, power and especially control which is why their opposition to each other is largely performative. At the end of the day it doesn't really *mean* anything.

They argue loudest and longest about issues and policies that do not threaten the status quo, that do not challenge the system itself because politicians are themselves only servants of that system, not its masters.

This is why red/blue and other myopic reductionist arguments bore me to tears.

It's like arguing over whether you'd rather be bitten or clawed while ignoring the fact that both teeth and claws belong to the same fucking lion and unless you kill *it* you're fucked no matter what.

I always use to say, its like watchin' Wrastlin'. You can root for Hulk Hogan, or Macho Man, as they tear each other a new hide on TV, but at the end of the day, they are drinking beer together, with your money.
I've come here to chew bubble gum, and kick ass. And I'm all out of bubblegum.
