Democrats and the legacy media promoted an outright lie about Trump because he used the word "bloodbath" at a campaign rally in Ohio. They claimed Trump was threatening political violence if he loses the election.

But that's not what Trump was doing.

Rather, he used the word "bloodbath" in an economic context about the auto industry. But that fact did not stop Sen. Schatz from demanding that journalists distort the true meaning of Trump's words, giving them instructions on how to craft headlines for news stories about Trump's remarks.

"Headline writers: Don't outsmart yourself. Just do 'Trump Promises Bloodbath if he Doesn't Win Election,'" Schatz wrote on social media.

Much to the dismay of fiscal conservatives who have been pleading for spending cuts, the House passed a $1.2 trillion government funding bill mere hours before the shutdown deadline. The package will fund the government through the end of the fiscal year (September 30).

But the astronomical expense isn't the only thing conservatives are upset about. What's actually in the bill is largely problematic as well.

Of the $1.2 trillion, "$500 million [is] appropriated for the Defense Security Cooperation Agency," which will "support the Armed Forces of Jordan and to enhance security along its borders."

The bill also allocated funds to LGBTQ+ projects, including what Glenn Beck humorously calls "the grooming, binding, and tucking" initiative that will develop "new underpants for kids" in the community.

There will never be spending restraint in the US congress. It is always tied to funding the government and not even fiscal conservatives like Mike Johnson will risk shutting down the government for a little while.

The race for the second-largest prosecutor's office in the nation just got closer after more than 10,000 mail-in ballots were suddenly found just days before the important primary in Chicago. The progressive "Democratic insider" candidate for the Cook County state's attorney position has closed the gap with his competitor – who has received significant money from Republicans.

The Chicago Board of Elections added an additional 10,659 additional mail-in ballots after they were "mistakenly left out" after votes were due by March 19.

As of Sunday afternoon, Eileen O'Neill Burke leads Clayton Harris III by a slim margin of 4,771.

"On Friday, thanks to the counting of mail ballots from Chicago voters, Harris whittled O'Neill Burke's lead, with a net gain of 1,366 votes," according to the Chicago Sun-Times.

Harris is seen as the more progressive candidate in the Democratic primary.

Harris has notched endorsements from labor unions, progressive leaders, and the Cook County Democratic Party.

Mexico's leftist president tries to extort America, demanding policy concessions and cash for help with border

exican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador has roughly six months left in office. It appears in that time, he will continue to alienate the U.S. and curry favor with his country's terroristic cartels.

Obrador revealed Friday that he won't combat Mexican drug cartels at the request of the American government, suggesting that doing so would run contrary to his "Mexico First" policy.

This announcement and the disturbing insinuations that accompanied it come just weeks after Obrador underlined what he expects from the U.S. in exchange for Mexico's cooperation in remedying the crisis at the border.

Mexico's fault, America's problem
According to the National Center for Drug Abuse Statistics, drug overdose deaths are up 30% year over year. There are over 96,700 fatal drug overdoses every year, 72% of which are from opioids.

Much of that fatal opioid supply comes from Mexico. Often using precursors provided by the communist Chinese, Mexican cartels manufacture and traffic the drugs over the porous U.S.-Mexico border.

Obrador nevertheless suggested Friday that the drugs are a uniquely American problem, not a Mexican problem, reported the Associated Press.

The leftist president has repeatedly emphasized that demand, not supply, is the problem.

An appeals court panel said Monday that former president Donald Trump would be allowed to post a $175 million bond to stave off enforcement of a nearly half-billion dollar civil judgment against him and his business.
