I personally know 7 individual white South Africans that I deal with consistently and probably another 15-16 that I avoid at all costs.

The Afrikaans speaking white South Africans seem friendlier than the Anglos.

It's a mixed bag... the whole region experienced various things when we were just getting clips on the nightly news for decades.



It's best to judge each South African on their actions and history.... not what comes out of the mouths.



I've found that a disproportionate number of South Africans I've known or my wife was friends with, are a bit egocentric and can be manipulative. But I'd never say that about them all... I've met a number of really cool decent people.



It's something about the culture they were raised in which imprints biases and the need to succeed, full speed ahead.

In Canada, White South Africans have been a rarity where I live...  Mainly because Canada hates White immigrants, so I've only personally interacted with three:



One male Doctor.



One male gunsmith.



And a young male stuck 4X4'ing with his girlfriend.  My buds and I helped them free their vehicle, so I had some time to spend with him...  In thanks, he offered me a few lines of shitty blow, which I accepted, while listening to him go off about niggers.  I can't blame him for that, considering his parents most likely came here to escape niggers.  I hope he's found peace here by now....
