Kamala Harris won Tuesday night's much-hyped U.S. presidential debate against Donald Trump if you go by election odds.

BetOnline.ag tweeted minutes before Tuesday night's debate that 50.9% of the money wagered on the election was on Harris, while 49.1% was on Trump. But now the money has significantly shifted toward Harris with 54.4% on the Democratic vice-president.

The website said the election odds had flipped since Tuesday morning at 9 a.m., when Harris was at plus-100 and Trump was at minus-120. As of Tuesday at 11 p.m., Harris was at minus-120 and Trump was at plus-100.

Not helping Trump during the debate was the former Republican president's much-discussed assertion that immigrants "in Springfield, (Ohio), they're eating the dogs, the people that came in, they're eating the cats, they're eating the pets of the people that live there," but it sure led to some great memes.

LOL! Too bad all the videos are pouring out proving Trump is right as usual.

Trump kicked off Tuesday night's first presidential debate on message. At first he stayed on target — and on offense. He was reserved, hitting on immigration and economic woes over and over while Vice President Kamala Harris played defense down in the weeds, thoroughly tied to the deeply unpopular incumbent.

By the second half of the first hour, it was clear that Harris was getting to him.

Yes, the moderators beclowned themselves. It wasn't just liberal bias but journalistic malpractice. How could Harris be allowed to say IVF was illegal in some states (IVF is legal in all states), while Trump was stopped from saying abortion is legal without limits in others (it is, including in Minnesota, which is under the leadership of Harris' running mate, Tim Walz)? What about her bogus and debunked "bloodbath" claim?

But it wasn't the moderators who drove Trump full-speed down rambling rabbit holes about election shenanigans, the Jan. 6 riot, how much money he inherited, or the Central Park Five. Harris and the moderators merely waved the red cape, and Trump charged — away from crime, the economy, and the disastrous retreat from Kabul.

When he threw it back on his opponent, he shone. While Harris clearly (and somewhat ghoulishly) lights up when she can talk about abortion, Trump repeated his successful 2016 Las Vegas tactic, going on an offense only the moderators were able to derail (with their demonstrably false fact-check).

Trump began the debate focused on Harris. But by the second exhausting hour, it was entirely about him. Harris made sure of that, the moderators made sure of that, but most crucially to their plan, Trump made sure of that.

Unfortunately, Tuesday's sorry excuse for a debate is having it's intended affect on a few voters. In Georgia and North Carolina Harris has improved ever so slightly.

When the swing states are neck and neck it could tip those states to Harris. We will see if this lasts. or even gets worse for Trump.

The VP debate is coming up. I don't expect that to change anything. Though it should because if Trump wins, Vance could become president before his four year term is completed.

Lab Flaker I thought Trump should have focused his energy in that debate in the flaws of Harris's economic plans.

There are a number of issues he could have brought up such as:

1. How will Kamala pay for her plans

2. Will Harris will raise American taxes sky high & drive out investment and job creation this lowering the standard of living.

3. Will Harris crash the stock market & American 401k plans.

4. Where Trump was attacked on  having no health care plan he could have shot back that Harris has no viable economic plan.

...now I'm not taking sides of either Trump nor Harris but as a detached observer I see where he fell short and failed to capitalize on her weaknesses.

The 'publicans needed someone on stage like this with a good background in economics:

However this guy has a PhD.

Trump didn't come across as somebody who has a good grasp of his own platform or if he does he couldn't explain it very well.

here's the thing about Libtards... they set the bar low and dance with glee at small and insignificant wins. Wins they only achieve by cheating

let's assume for just a second that Harris' effective needling did win the debate. So what? First of all the AMerican people are fickle. Everything that happened will be forgotten in a week and it will be back to "where's the policy"

and second, is needling for reactions what is going to steer the US out of precarious situations with rival superpowers like China and Russia? Will she be able to ""needle"" Putin and Xi out of pushing us into WW3?

Libtards are idiots and prove it more and more as they gloat over an inconsequential win that they had to cheat to achieve
