Pretty much most of the former soviet states were corrupt, not that we're in any position to pass comment without addressing the corruption within our own borders. The Republican party is corrupt too, but they can still be salvaged. I agree with Garraty_47, the Democrats are no longer salvageable. The party is corrupt and rotten to it's core. If you have principles and lean Democrat, support a third party candidate.

I agree they need to back 3rd party candidates but they will not.  They will keep voting for the same failed policies from the same failed party then wondering why nothing ever gets better.  They are just that stupid.

Ukraine was very corrupt and still has corruption but less than before.  The EU and US have been helping to decrease corruption and increasing transparency for the last 8 years.  Often it has been two steps forward and one step back (with corrupt people like Joe Biden trying to protect corruption) but they at least have made good progress.  To compare Russia is probably the most corrupt country in Europe now with Belarus being the second.
