Quote from: Lokmar on June 14, 2024, 09:26:28 AMI have one. BTW, SD Bullion has them for $1047 today. However, you can get a Platinum Britannia on sale for $1026.

Are you telling me SD Bullion wont ship to you sorry fuckers in Cucknadia?

Well Palladium is around $1200 US over at SD bullion. Outside of Kitco, that's about the cheapest price for it I could find.  Apmex wants close to $1500 US for it.

Palladium is one metal you might also keep an eye on L okmeer

If I was in the States I'd go for that kitco Palladium maple leaf special, eh? At that price it cant fall too much further down but likely up one day. It might take a while but I think that metal will shine 1 day.

I might take you up on your suggestion and buy a few more ounces of platinum while the prices are low or appear to be taking a dip during the summer months. Bit of silver & hold as well. I think the prices will rise back again sometime around September October and into the US election.

So if historical price trends are any indicator, its always a good idea to buy when they're low and slow & that appears ta be now till about 3 months more.

That's just a hunch tho.

Gold n' Silver are a rockin and a rollin' today.... L okmeer!

https://goldprice.org/

Gold is above $2400 agin & Silver is testing the $32 level.

I wonder how long this'll last before it goes back down again? Or will it stay up for a while?

Platinum must be up today too.

Must be cuz of the lower inflation and proposed interest rate cuts

JOE

Gold hit a Record high today....Lokmeer!

https://goldprice.org/

$2,477.73 US per ounce

Silver....$31.27 US per ounce

Platinum....$1016 US per ounce

...wonder how long it'll stay this high?

Seems kinda high for Summer months.

Imagine at some point they'll go plummeting back down again.

....wil see.

Gold is going up because investors are hedging their bets in case Trump doesn't win and the market is going up in case he does.

Check out Old Joe's thread going on 23 pages.

For a boring one-trick Canadian trolling pony, Y'all keep his threads going.

Say, I wonder if Joe would be interested in my Revenue Stamp collection? Ephemera can get huge returns, and some of my specimens are quite rare.  I have a Battleship Maine Revenue stamp issued in 1898 to raise money for the Spanish-American War still affixed to the mortgage document that was taxed.

You should ask Thiel for an advance on your allowance, Joe.  I'm thinking of selling this collection and I know how you get excited about such things.

I'm not much into stamps avatar_Reggie Essent Reggie

The last I bought was years ago from an outfit called the Franklin Mint. A Cayman Islands issue which was so popular that they contacted me to sell it back to them so I did for a profit.

I'm reluctant to buy too many paper collectibles because of potential issues such as counterfeiting. Ideally they should be in sealed plastic cases and graded professionally by a recognized grading service. In the case of stamps ideally in mint condition unless its vintage one of a kind material.

Old paper money is all the rage but I'm wary of buying it. If the fiat currency system goes belly up or is replaced, will people still want to collect old paper bills?

I bought a bunch of old hockey cards graded by a service called SGC. But those are graded and sealed in tamper free cases along with a serial tracking number. I might sell them.

I have a great looking autographed vintage photo signed by Bobby Hull. It has a COA.

Anyways avatar_Reggie Essent Reggie, here's an autographed photo of the Late Great Bobby Hull while he played for your Chicago Black Hawks:

I might get it authenticated by the PSA sometime.

I met The Golden Jet when I was a boy.  It was at the end of his career and the Black Hawks went deep into the playoffs in 1973.  I attended a playoff game and got Bobby Hull and Stan Makita to sign my program.

I've long since lost it, but it would be worth a couple hundred ducats today.

Should have been investing in bikinis !

Princess Leia's Star Wars bikini fetches $175,000

A gold bikini worn by the late Carrie Fisher in Return of the Jedi has been sold for $175,000 (£136,000) at auction.

The Star Wars costume is one of the most famous outfits in film history. It includes a bikini top, bikini plates, hip rings, an armlet and bracelet.

Fisher, who played Princess Leia in the films, said she thought director George Lucas was "kidding" when he showed her the bikini.

She told NPR in an interview a month before her death in 2016 that she felt "nearly naked, which is not a style choice for me" adding that it made her "very nervous".

The actress also revealed that during filming she had to "sit very straight because I couldn't have lines on my sides, like little creases. No creases were allowed, so I had to sit very, very rigid straight."

I'm surprised they went so cheap.

Princess Leias gold bikinis are legendary.

I'm so jealous that Harrison Ford got to tap her in her prime.

As I mentioned a few days ago, my industry has slid off the cliff and my income is in the toilet this year. My company engaged in stock manipulation by refusing to listen when we said sales would be down at least 20% this year. Instead, they set our AOP with a slight INCREASE. Its fucking criminal and all these DEI cunts are to blame. Part of me hopes the government will prosecute the company I work for.
