Biden hinted in his farewell speech that the presence of billionaire Elon Musk in the Trump administration was troubling. He awarded billionaire and Democratic megadonor George Soros with the Presidential Medal of Freedom earlier this month.

The Dems are throwing rocks from an expensive glass house.

Bloomberg reported that Biden's time in office proved a golden age for the wealthiest of Americans. The wealth of the 100 richest individuals in the country increased by over $1.5 trillion over the past four years. According to Federal Reserve estimates through September, the top 0.1% gained over $6 trillion while Democrats controlled the White House and Senate.

It certainly didn't hurt that the Democratic-controlled 117th Congress approved Biden's so-called Build Back Better Act, which included enormous federal tax cuts for the ultra-rich, or that Biden championed unprecedented inflationary spending benefiting the wealthy.

Many of the nation's wealthiest individuals, in many cases beneficiaries of Democratic policies, have backed the campaigns of Democratic lawmakers and worked to keep them in power in recent years.

USA Today reported in November that 83 billionaires, including two with a net worth of over $100 billion each, supported Kamala Harris' doomed presidential campaign. Trump had 31 fewer billionaires back him and only one supporting centibillionaire, Elon Musk.

Those now clutching pearls about Musk serving in the incoming administration have not only glossed over this detail but previously proved unwilling to condemn billionaire Mark Zuckerberg for helping swing the 2020 election for Democrats.

I don't trust him either. Nor do I trust Trump, even though I see him as a potential and gross improvement over that outgoing administration.

This does open the door to the media maggots screechings of disunity of course, since it is almost demanded by them that we all pick a side and slavishly follow wherever the side leads us. Which is a stupid and bullshit way to operate in any environment that purports itself to pay any homage to the democratic process; having some assclown dangle a couple of carrots at arms length might seem democratic at first blush, until you realise there's entire bushels of them to be had, some tastier than the ones on offer.

I'm happy to see Trump returned to the White House instead of assigning a puppet like Kuntmala the gig. I'm cautiously optimistic that his second term will save us from the hard landing that four years of mismanagement in Biden's name has wrought, I am also pleased to see that this time around he appears to be picking his cabinet and advisors with a little more care and tact.

That does not, nor should it infer "trust" on my part. I'll be watching them as hawkishly as I watched those they are replacing. These people are not gods, they are human. Humans fuck things up. Sometimes they need a smack about the gills to set them on the right path. Already I've seen some noises out of Elon and Vivek that confirm the need to keep a watchful eye, but I expected such to be the case long ago and went on record here and in other places about my reservations - they still stand.

In the balance, I think we traded up. Now is not the time to slack off.

I do not fault him for switching sides, it is a hell of a thing to be a parent and finding your kid brainwashed into sterilizing themselves at the behest of the Troonie cult. Were it my kid, I too would be looking for a better class of ally... one that respected the sanctity of the family unit better.

Importing cheap labour wholesale and at the expense on the citizenry is [n]not[/b] respecting the family unit. Any one of you as a breadwinner can (or at least should) see this. Elon for all the money he is prepared to put at our cause's  disposal does not and should not expect others to roll over for his bottom line. Principle dictates that he look to the liberties taken with his own progeny and not engage in any course of action that would weaken the fortunes of our progeny, at least not if he is hopeful that we don't drop him as a sack of steaming shit in the same manner as he dropped the progressive woke left. For my part that is exactly what should happen if he is going to bring the cuntish ethic of "well I have all the money and you'll either take it up the ass or I'll take my favour elsewhere." There is a reason why none of us sling our shingle under the democrat's banner, any modicum of self reflection will identify it as being the left's penchant for treating its base in shabby fashion.

MAGA held the promise of walking that deplorable state of affairs back; it's why so many people rallied behind it. It's great to find an oligarch purporting to be on our side, but I'm not going to grab my ankles for all things Elon for that luxury. We've come a great distance without his support; if he expects our support then he must pony up his or tell his story walking.
