Personally, I think Trump is goading the judge to throw him in jail. Trump correctly thinks it will garner him even more support and cause a crisis in the country.

I quit second guessing Trump years ago. I think 95% of what he does is right. Whenever I thought he was wrong, he usually turned out to be right.
