Trump said the war was "pretty much complete". Hegseth said "This is just the beginning". When asked to clarify Trump's reply was "You could say it's both".

They didn't, and still don't, know what the hell they're doing other than israel's bidding.

Clusterfuck. It's a massive clusterfuck.

It's Israel that is working for the US.

This war, at this time in this way, only stands to benefit israel.
That's providing israel can achieve any of its objectives that israeli officials keep saying they've "been waiting 40+ years" to see enacted but that's turning out to be a mighty big 'if'. As it turns out ethno-supremicist genocidal wankstains often make irrational decisions. Go figure.

Aside from whatever pressure mossad and other israeli entities are levering I'm sure they've sold attacking Iran as a way to advance 'Murica's hegemonic interests... specifically depriving BRICS generally and Russia/China specifically of a key ally/partner, making 'Murica's eventual confrontation with those powers less of a gamble.

But it's all bullshit manipulations and half-assed transactional deals and detached-from-reality assessments of current conditions and likely outcomes.

This is what happens when you allow yourselves to be governed by psychopaths and maniacs like we've done for way too many decades. The only question now is whether any of it can be fixed or will have to be torn down completely before a functional government can rise up.

Yeah?  What's your point? Do you prefer a "managed decline" like the Obamaites want?

I'm just making observations and giving my own analysis based on the most objective information I've been able to find.

I'm not offering or even suggesting solutions.

My best guess is that 'Murica is too corrupt, too insane, and too stoopid for embarking on any rational or realistic adjustments that could be implemented quickly enough to prevent an implosion.

I'm not here to provide fixes...
...at this late stage I'm only here for the popcorn and snark.

I don't even want to say "told ya'll so" although I absolutely did.
Repeatedly.
For decades.

To quote John Coffey from 'The Green Mile':
"I'm tired, boss."

I'm done sounding alarms and sending up flares and all that shit.
List me in the 'spectator' column from now on.

Whatever happens will happen, and we'll have earned it.
For my part, I'll have earned a front row seat to the entirely predictable (and avoidable) collapse of 'Murica.

Yes, I've gathered you don't much care for 'Murica, even though you're a native son by all indications. But history has a way of moving on and not many of us get a say so in which way it goes. And you are correct that we're all just along for the ride, and should be thankful to live in such interesting times.

Myself, I choose to root for America and Western Civilization.  For "the good guys" as it were instead of bemoaning past wrongdoings and 'injustices,' real and imagined.

The Northern leg of Keystone XL that Biden killed is probably looking good right about now. The Energy East pipeline that True Dope killed is prolly looking good about now too.

Crude oil prices are coming back down already. The U.S. sunk 16 Iranian minelaying vessels.

The U.S. military command operating in the Middle East warned citizens to "immediately" avoid any ports that may be used by the Iranian military and said that Iran is using civilian ports along the Strait of Hormuz to launch operations.

"This dangerous action risks the lives of innocent people," said Central Command (CENTCOM) in a statement Wednesday, referring to the Iranian military's use of the ports. "Civilian ports used for military purposes lose protected status and become legitimate military targets under international law."

Aleaked intelligence bulletin reportedly warns Iran may retaliate against the United States by launching a wave of terror attacks on American soil.

The Daily Mail reported that it obtained a copy of the report, which it said was a joint statement prepared by the FBI, the Department of Homeland Security, and the National Counterterrorism Center.

The bulletin reportedly warned that Iran prefers targeted assassinations of government officials over large mass casualty attacks. Those targets may include U.S. officials, dissidents, or Jewish community leaders, according to intel officers. Intended victims may be lured to other countries geographically closer to Iran, the report stated, according to the Daily Mail.

The FBI believes Iran prefers to use "radicalized individuals with a variety of ideological backgrounds ... with existing U.S. legal status or U.S. access," including those who "may lack identifiable ties to Iran," the Daily Mail reported.

Iran may spread "graphic imagery" and "news of civilian casualties" to mobilize such terror attacks on U.S. soil," the report noted, according to the Daily Mail.

"Most of the government of Iran's attack plots in the United States involve the potential use of firearms," the report reads, according to the Daily Mail. "Other assassination methods may include stabbings, vehicle rammings, bombings, poisoning, strangling, suffocation, and arson."

To determine these target locations, Iran uses "social media sites, livestreams, publicity, and map applications," it added, the outlet said.

Police departments in California have been warned that Iran may be seeking to strike the West Coast with drones as the U.S.-Israeli strikes continue in Iran.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation issued the alert at the end of February, according to an ABC News report.

"We recently acquired information that as of early February 2026, Iran allegedly aspired to conduct a surprise attack using unmanned aerial vehicles from an unidentified vessel off the coast of the United States Homeland, specifically against unspecified targets in California, in the event that the U.S. conducted strikes against Iran," the alert reads.

If Iran has been planning these drone strikes since "early February 2026," then those plans predate the U.S.-Israeli military campaign against Iran, which began in late February.
