Middle class homeowners get punished with hefty property tax increases even if they own just a single home while land hoarders mostly from China buy up all the real estate driving up re prices.  Meanwhile the middle class end up subsidizing them.

The system here & in the US/Australia needs to change so that land hoarders get taxed heavilly to discourage buying up the land driving prices

Oddly its Red Republican Southern US states which have been the 1st to call out land hoarding practices particularly from China. Sarah Huckabee in Arkansas and Greg Abbott in Texas have either banned or want to ban them from buying land in the United States
