I wasn't into them either. The lead singer is an interesting cat. He's an accomplished fencer and an airline pilot. Not your typical metal singer.

My sentiments are similar, Chief. I liked his 2nd, 3rd and 4th albums. I didn't like anything I heard after Harvest.

The band .38 Special was formed in 1974. One of the founders was vocalist and guitarist Donnie Van Zant, brother of Ronnie and Johnny Van Zant of Skynyrd fame. This 1980 number is always good:
