McDonald's in the 1970's

What gets me is there are a lot of fast food places still using styro containers, yet McDonald's gave up on that in the 90s.  Why aren't the tree huggers bitching about the mom and pop places that still use styro?

It's not exactly the same, but I read that paper bags have a bigger environmental impact than plastic bags.

I was at a flea market over the summer and some schmuck had a stack of those gold ashtrays. He was trying to get $5 a piece for them.
