I mentioned Peter Frampton in another thread. He was co-founder of Humble Pie.  He left in 1971 and pursued a solo career that, among other things, resulted in one the best-selling live albums of all time. I have the album and I've also seen him live. This is from "Frampton Comes Alive":

I remember when I first heard this I was a young kid living in Palm Springs California. I thought it was great!
