Donald Trump is pushing Congress to slash billions more in foreign spending with the White House's latest rescissions package.

Trump notified Congress Thursday night of his proposed rescissions package, which is set to slash nearly $5 billion in foreign aid programs.

The latest cuts include $3.2 billion in USAID funding, $322 million from the USAID-State Department Democracy Fund, $521 million of State Department contributions to other international organizations, $393 million in State Department contributions to peacekeeping activities, and another $445 million in peacekeeping aid.

"Since January, we've saved the taxpayers tens of billions of dollars," Secretary of State Marco Rubio said in a post on X.

Donald Trump says he plans to "lead a movement" to "get rid of" mail-in voting and the use of voting machines to process ballots before 2026 midterm elections.

He said Monday that he intends to sign an executive order "to help bring HONESTY" to upcoming elections.

Donald Trump announced earlier this month that he was federalizing the Metropolitan Police Department in Washington, D.C., and deploying the National Guard there in order to "re-establish law, order, and public safety."

While Democrats and other liberal pundits reflexively denounced Trump's intervention, their critiques were premature. Since Trump took action, violent crime in D.C. reportedly is down 45%, and carjackings are down 87%.

And now Trump vows to give Chicago the DC treatment unless Democrat Gov. Pritzker gets his act together.

Trump noted in a Saturday evening Truth Social post, "Six people were killed, and 24 people were shot, in Chicago last weekend, and JB Pritzker, the weak and pathetic Governor of Illinois, just said that he doesn't need help in preventing CRIME."

The president added, "He is CRAZY!!! He better straighten it out, FAST, or we're coming!"
