Ahead of Trump speech to Congress, flashback to 2017 address asking 'What will America look like' at 250

Eight years later after Trump's first joint address to Congress, there are striking similarities to today's political climate and a prophetic question Trump asked in 2017.

So far, America is looking and will look better in 2026.  DEI is DOA, libtards are crying 24/7, and I'm happy.  No worries for me.   :yeahhh:

I thought a Big Mistake Trump made is his plan to close down the Department of Education avatar_Prof Emeritus at Fawk U Prof.

Instead of eliminating it Trump should reform it.

Transform it into 1 emphasizing technology & trade skills to coordinate it with a national economic strategy.

There may be some truth that it wasn't addressing America's economic needs.

But the US has a shortage of tradesmen and engineers.

Seems Trump is continuing on with a strategy of importing skilled professionals from other countries under an H1-B Visa program rather than investing in American born citizens to meet these skill shortages.

It has been conclusively proven that DOE is as relevant as the horse and buggy.  The department was created in 1979 by splitting off from the HHS department.  I'm pretty sure that tradesmen, machinists, and tech workers existed before then.  Let the states have greater say so in what they want in a curriculum and no federal bureaucracy telling them what to do.

I really like how Trump has taken power away from the Department of Education and handing power to the states. The DoE was a politicized waste of money.

Ok, just to be clear, when I posted DEI is DOA, I meant diversity, equity, and inclusion, not department of education.
