Roger Dean (he did several rock album covers for Yes, Uriah Heep, and Gun)

Oddly, her work is about love and acceptance...she is a very sweet, gentle and approachable lady. Almost inconspicuous.

Patricia Piccinini's work is very sweet.

Perhaps so. Some that appear hideous to me like the first photo and the one with the young girl smiling with the hairy creature with deadly limbs unsettle me.  ac_unsure

It is supposed to.

Her work is life sized, and highly detailed.

But at no stage is there a demonstration of fear, revulsion, horror, terror or the slightest concern for the mutations she places in her pieces with humans of all shapes and sizes. Indeed, any ugliness is usually within the viewer.

@realAzhyaAryola

It definitely symbolizes that millions of people can have very diverse ideas of what art is to them and the same number of people can come up with such varying creations. We see in some things what others don't see. For example, I might see a person's face in an animal. Hahahahahahaha! I mean it!

This is her most controversial piece...or was when we saw her last...

It is called Big Mother, and portrays a mutated beast suckling a perfectly normal human child. It is life size. She is also meticulous about the expressions on her creation's faces. Each face becomes the storyteller.

@realAzhyaAryola

I don't like art that unsettles me. I like art that make me feel good and safe. I like my surrounding to be beautiful and inspiring.
