According to media reports, Lee died on Sunday morning, June 7 at Westminster Hospital in London after being admitted for respiratory problems and heart failure. The Guardian reported that his wife, former Danish model and painter Gitte Kroencke, decided to release the news days later in order to inform family members first. The couple had been married since 1961."

Even though he was Dracula, a scary character, I already knew who Christopher Lee was even when I was a young girl. I watched him often with his pal Peter Cushing. I enjoyed watching him as Count Dooku in the Star Wars series. Can you believe that he preferred doing his own stunts?



I mention this because I know a 60-year old American woman who asked me today, "Who is Christopher Lee? He's an actor?" I rolled my eyes. Where has she been all these years?
