When you hear Americans say they are going to the beach on the gulf coast, they mean the following:

https://www.welt-atlas.de/datenbank/karten/karte-7-243.gif">

"The Gulf Coast of the United States includes the coasts of the Southern U.S. states that share a border with the Gulf of Mexico. This includes the coasts of Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida, which are known as the Gulf States."

I'm so glad you enjoy them, Fash. I truly think it is worth seeing at least once in your lifetime.

Deep in the south and hidden away from much exposure is the charming and beautiful Natchez, Mississippi. There you will find beautiful antebellum homes preserved to this day and open to the public for the enjoyment of curious sightseers and tourists.

The funding for the preservation of this one was not approved, or the check bounced, or the owner declared bankruptcy.

Not included in these photographs are the slave quarters. They still exist as well.

Awesome pictures.  The slave quarters are interesting to see.  It's good that those things are preserved.
