We had an earth-quake.

They are rare around here.

I thought it was a train, semi-truck or an airplane.

1,5 magnitude.

That's barely a tremor.

Are you gonna brag about how big the quakes are in your neighborhood?

Without Plan For New Submarines Canada Faces Defense Gap In The Arctic

https://blazingcatfur.ca/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/submarine.jpg">

A Department of National Defence briefing note identifies the urgent need to "kick off without delay" a replacement project for the Royal Canadian Navy's (RCN) four Victoria-class submarines. The British built vessels, acquired second hand in 1998 by the Chrétien government in a nearly $900 million lease-to-buy contract, are due to be retired or "paid off" 15 years from now, between 2036 and 2042 . At that point the submarines will be 50 years old.

I recall that "brilliant" purchase of worn  out and put out to pasture UK subs. I was sooo ashamed at that tie

How would you respond to a co-worker who confides in you that they have anxiety attacks?

It often baffles me why people reveal these things about themselves. For what? Pity? If he was having an anxiety attack while I am in a room with him, I would not know what to do.

Azhya, you and other Canadians and Americans are free to travel across the border now to visit your loved ones.

I sure hope Canada gets rid of that test within last 3 days requirement

Traffic at border, after snowbirds got through in early morning fell to a trickle - because of the test - Day visits are not practical

My passport (needed now as they no longer issue "enhanced driver's licenses @#$%^) should be here any day now & I have not seen daughter 30 miles away in 1 1/2 years

A few had to pay 150$ for test in Blaine & Bellingham & it's only good for 3 days for our Govt. upon return - so malls all ready for Canadians  were empty of customers yesterday

The  Govt needs to get its act in gear ... maybe test if there long time is OK, but day trips?

I never shop there like many do, but I  do want to start visiting again .. nice lunch visits 1/2 way between in Ferndale

cc, do you know if PCR tests are free for international travel?

We plan on going ahead with our trip to the Netherlands for Christmas and wondered if we had to pay for our pre travel tests in Canada.
