I am darker Taiwanese and when I get sun I turn dark quick.

To avoid that I use a sunblock with a factor of 50.

My friends have recommended NeuCell Skin Lightening Cream.

I like sunblock, healthy diet and an umbrella better.

What do you do to prevent darker skin?

Hollywood portrays Chinese in a way that makes us unattractive. This is why racist blonde girls won't usually date a chinese man

Hello Fashionista

I'm an American likely 1/3 native but my skin is lighter white as most think.

Skin color is what you like, but I have seem many darker skinned Asians of many countries that look beautiful, some pretty close to black from being in the sun a lot.

I would not use the skin cream, i know it works pretty well, but why take the chance of messing pretty skin up.

Sun screen, and an umbrella is good in my opinion, but use a healthy more natural sun screen.

What ever goes on your skin goes in your body.

^ Are you haomeimei or just her older sister? In any case, I got a request from little sister to participate in this forum.

I'm also a darker Asian but love it. In my country, they refer to us as Morena. My mothers and her sisters were light skinned because they have Spanish and Chinese ancestors so they are called Mestizas. The funny thing is, even though they were already light skinned, when they were all younger, when I was a little girl, I'd watch them bleach each other's skin. When I look back now, it's pretty vain. They already had fair skin and yet they wanted it more fair. Anyway, I think they smartened up years after that and they stopped doing it. They used to apply it on each other and stay nude until it was time to wash it off.

Hi Azhya. :)  There is no way to improve on perfection. Don't change anything about yourself.

Hi, Mei! Aw, that's too sweet. I feel like it's still my berfday. Haha! How are you, sweetie?

Happy belated b-day gf. I have nausea and couldn't attract a man if I was dipped in beer, bbq'd T-bone steaks and Pam Anderson`'s fake tits. However, I got great friends like you and that's all I need. :)

I was only nauseous with my first born, Mei. With the second baby I was not at all. It also lasted only for 3 months. After that, I was good. I hated the smell of fried chicken. That would make me want to puke and we lived near a Roy Rogers at that time. Blechk!

Wheww, that's good to know Asia. We had our Thansgiving dinner last weekend and every third aroma made me nauseous. I will not miss this feeling, trust me.

Belated Happy Thanksgiving. Did you have the traditional turkey? Oh I know what you mean. I did not miss that feeling either.

Yes, I worked all evening to prepare a good feast, puked many times and sliced my finger wide open. My husband and parents have lots of leftovers...I hope they appreciate my f*cking efforts. :x

Heheh...you don't sound thrilled about it.

I haven't tried it, but supplements like Glutathione might help.

Ladies...if the colour of your skin matters to others, find some different "others".

Skin colour has never been a determinant of beauty.

Ask yourself this...why do Asians wish for lighter skin, while caucasians want darker skin?

And don't forget...when the lights are out, we're all the same colour.
