J E B Stuart

Deo vindice

J E B Stuart

This song shot up the charts pretty high in 1971:

If i remember correctly, Tesla had a pretty big hit with it some years later.

Amen.
Deo vindice

J E B Stuart

This is a very recent find. I like the high energy in the video. I'd never heard of this song, or this band for that matter.  But, they are well known in the 51st State 😁 as is the song:

Amen.
Deo vindice

J E B Stuart

Lotta great music from The Great White Norrh:

Amen.
Deo vindice

J E B Stuart

This band from Niagara Falls, Ontario, is still in business. I really liked this number when it came out in the 1980's. Nice and chunky:

Amen.
Deo vindice

Herman

 :good:
Sad about Downie. Hip was a great band. I never have understood how some Canuck bands/artists make it big in Canada, but fame in the USA somehow evades them. Oh well. Thanks to the internet, access has never been greater.

Amen.
Deo vindice

When I first heard this on TV, I bought the album.  Toronto band. 'nuff said:

Amen.

True, this is a cover and a damned fine cover it is. Gob is from British Columbia:

Amen.

The Stampeders were formed in Calgery and had a #1 hit with this:

Amen.
Deo vindice

Herman

I saw the Stempeders years ago play the Stampede in Calgary. They were not too bad despite being fossils.

Kim Mitchell is highly regarded in Canada and has had a long career there. This song is good:

Amen.
Deo vindice

J E B Stuart

Kick Axe is a metal band well-known in their native country Canada. Like so many artists, success in the US eluded them. No matter. This is their cover of the old Beatles standard. Some aspects of their cover reminds me of Joe Cocker's cover. Oh well. It's not a contest. Have a listen and enjoy:

Amen.
Deo vindice

J E B Stuart

Patrick Henry Travers' first album came out in 1976.  I have it.  A guitar god, Pat has had a very productive career. Now 70 years young, he is still going strong. This tune from his first album is one of my favorites:

Amen.
Deo vindice

Herman

I saw them in Saskatoon when I was sixteen.
