I assume that would apply to a host of things from high fat food to salt to sugar.

I'm sure coffee is fine , it's the shit people put in it is what's bad, like creamer,whip cream, artificial sweeter etc..

These studies are funded by people who have hand in the industry that produces and/or manufactures what they're trying to make seem like a bounty of health. All things in moderation, including moderate excess when applicable.  Such is the consumerist credo.
