Comparing a little boy praying with Santa to a brainwash child soldier is about the dumbest thing you have ever said and that's saying something.

I swear there are times when you absolutely nauseate me.

An early Xmas gift to me, then.

Rather than attack the player, why not prove me wrong?

If that was a muslim kid of 4, asking his imam for the head of an infidel, how would you feel then?

The American child is asking for salvation for a baby he ahsn't met, clearly and manifestly "programmed" by his handlers to do so. To American values, this is a charming and heartwarming gesture, despite its obvious exploitation.

To a muslim, killing infidels is a part of the survival and protection of their land and way of life. A child praying for the protection of his home by seeking the killing of one that threatens it would be seen as charming and heartwarming.

We are, of course, reviled at that concept, yet it is all a matter of perpsective.

The principle of forcing belief systems on young children to perpetuate lies, myths and deceit is abhorrent.

In any culture.

Puke your heart out.

How can you make a comparison like that?

Because he's a horse's ass and he assumes that ALL small childern that have a rudimentary understanding of God and prayer must be under the evil spell of overly zealous Jesus freaks.

That's secular socialist programming in action. A significant number of atheists in this world behave like a militant cult. They see religion as evil and exposing children to any form of it, no matter how limited, as a form of abuse. Remember how loony evs comment about abuse and sending your children to religious private school was?  Well Crowley's assumptions in this case are about just as nutty.

This also play's right in with his teenage angst regarding the US. To a furious anti-American idiot like him, a child praying is symptomatic of the social decay in America and as you know our arrogant foaming at the mouth Aussie will never pass up an opportunity to bash the US.

I'm use to this incorrect assumption.

Well I'm not. I find it offensive because it makes the assumption that small children are stupid and have no intellectual curiosity and that they content to just play with teddy bears and alphabet blocks.
Atheists have this delusion that anyone who is religious is brainwashed. They are unable to accept and respect anything outside of the secular world view.  They always go to these borderline insane delusions of Christian militancy when it comes to parents raising kids in Christian homes.  They'd rather our kinder age kids be doing more secular things. Like playing with plastic prostitutes(Bratz dolls), getting programmed by disney, and reading planned parenthood books about masturbation and anal sex (it's perfectly normal). Yanno, heslthy, non brainwashing things.

Sorry Dove, but I'll go toe to toe with you on the detriment of religion on sexuality, specifically as it pertains to kids any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

I think the term brainwashing has harsh negative connotations where "influence" might be a better choice.  Kids are influenced by their parents.  That's a fact.  I just don't see how being thoughtful and caring is a negative thing.  If you (Crow) are going to argue that it's influenced by religion, I'm going to have to say "so what?"

Prestyn Barnette wasn't interested in asking for toys this year.

What the four-year-old South Carolina boy really wanted was a Christmas miracle.

In a photo that is touching hearts the world over, Prestyn asked the Santa in his local mall at the weekend to pray with him for a sick baby that is fighting for life.

And the two did just that.

Based on guilt catholic dogma that isn't biblical and is known for sexual abuse.  God made sex.  I was way more twisted sexually by the world than by religion. There is a balance, and teaching kids to think of sex as bad and dirty is bad just wrong oversexualizing them.  You have orgasm because God made the body to have them. You can't go toe to toe with me from some catholic standpoint.  It's not my position. You can try, of course....but I have the only 2 girls in the school who aren't boycrazy or trying to wear make up. Sex is an act of love that's more than physical, despite the secular view that we should rut like pigs as if it's a handshake and advertise our bodies. 12 year old girls don't need padded bras, or socks that say "flirt", or dolls dressed like they are about to do a stage set at the local strip club.

For a grouchy Santa, you sure have a lotta kids, Leopardsocks.

Quote from: "Mr Crowley"I know. I have three. Plus 4.

However, none of them at 4 years old, would have been intellectually, emotionally and humanely capable of carrying out such a sweet gesture UNLESS THEY WERE HEAVILY PROGRAMMED, INDOCTRINATED AND COACHED.

It does NOT reflect a spontaneous and GENUINE outburst of human spirit. It is a pre-programmed, orchestrated and utterly fallacious gesture by a poor little child who has had his innocence and individuality replaced by a perverted and discredited belief system.

Put another way, this poor little boy is being exploited to advance the interests of christianity, and is no less subversive and repugnant than an image of a 10 year old muslim child holding an AK47.

I doubt they would regard me as grouchy.

I just don't see anything wrong with books about masturbation or knowing anal sex is okay for consenting adults who take proper pre-cautions or knowing their reproductive options.  I don't give a flying fuck about padded bras, words on socks or dolls that look like strippers.  I care that my kids have an open relationship with me where they can discuss decal issues and they aren't ignorant of their sexual selfs or choices.

I have also seen many Christian parents pull their kids from sex ed classes.

That is EXACTLY what religion is!!

Force feeding lies and fairy tales to the emotionally dysfunctional, including very young children, to get them to believe in a non-existent entity and follow "rules" that this non existent entity has proclaimed.

If that is NOT brainwashing, what is it?
