Chinese firms agree $11 billion deal in Cambodia

PHNOM PENH, Cambodia (AP) — Two Chinese firms have signed an $11 billion deal with Cambodia to build a new railway, a port and a steel factory in the Southeast Asian country.



San Sok Lika, an official with the Chinese-owned Cambodia Iron and Steel Mining Industry, said Friday that construction on the projects should begin by July.



The projects include a 400-kilometer (249-mile) rail line which will run from a steel plant in northern Preah Vihear province to a port in Koh Kong in Cambodia's southwest.



A recent statement issued by the two companies said the $11.2 billion deal was inked Dec. 31.



Cambodia Iron and Steel is based in Cambodia's capital, Phnom Penh. The other firm, Steel Mining Industry, is based in China.

I recieved this email from a friend in Thailand who speaks fluent Thai and Khmer who is stuck there due to his kid. He has been there for about 20 years now but has travelled the world and in particular Asia extensively and I have learned from him as opposed to the stalker trollls who know nothing and have no knowledge to offer. My take is that this Cambodia deal is of course to try and

1 ]  take over another country Cambodia

2 ] Try and box in Vietnam who is resisting being taken over by China and Chinese people

3 ] part of a plan to eventually annex the entire South China Sea from it's neighbours.

4 ] other decietful plans that i am unaware of





yesterday at bnagkok gym one of the Chinese thais I talk to there

 

I discussed with him what ive heard about china and south east asia

 

he works in a shpping company so it was also good to talk to him

 

he is also learing Chinese 1000 baht a month

 

he can already speak Chinese to his mainland Chinese customers he tells me

 

anyways I just mentioned to him about the high speed rail in laos that china is paying for

 

he then mentioned to me that also china is fully paying for a double decker train

 

built on 1.5 metre wide track which is much wider than normal so it can

 

accomadate 1 container stacked on another container

 

if I did hear that correctly as he spoke just in thai

 

this seems to be there masterplan china needs to get the good to the ocean from

 

 west china as thru lamchabong that is a container port I have been to it several times for

 

fliming movies it is not that far from pattaya

 

so the plan is the Chinese will use this lamchabong as their main port to ship out

 

the goods from western china and of course all of these counries will be linked up

 

by better roads, ports, trains

 

that is also why that 6 billion usd port in Myanmar is beign built

 

it will be linked to lamchabong

 

also I am like dam sure they are setting up some kind of trading  block here

 

we are talking like just in south east asia 250 million people

 

I wonder thou if in the end Thailand will just be another province in china

 

I did put that to this Chinese thai

 

his exact words actually in English when I put it to him in thai were

he is thinking this from the history of china claims the manchurains whoever it is spelled

 

era and that they were not bad

 

I did remember about the mongols history in china he does have a point

 

its not like when the americans conqured the usa they weren't like absolutely terrible

 

what they did to the Indians

 

or what the Spanish did in south America to the natives absolutely terrible

 

 

so really maybe he has  a point that when china conquerors Thailand it wont

 

be as bad as ie the American conquering of the usa or the spainish history in

 

south America

 

 

but im not sure exacty thou

 

one other thing thou I bet in like 10 years time we will see what south aisa will be like

 

all of those trains, etc will be online and running

 

the thing is now china is forced to use usd dollars to sell their goods

 

and forced to have great amounts of us debt they hold

 

that for sure they realize they will be way better off using their own currency to trade

 

I have this vision for when Europe and the usa just fall off the map the rest of the world

 

at least in asia just wont care and not really be impacted at all

 

as by then their is this asia trading block where most of the trade is here with themselves

 

of note I did read if it true that 80 percent all thalnad trade already is outside euro zone

 

and usa

 

I think this is why really the thai economy is not at all effected by the last 5 years of

 

ongoing hell in the usa and euro zone

 

I really do believe it that one day soon say in less than 10 years we here in asia well

 

be more isolated from the usa and euro zone

 

also of note when I see the 2012 tourist numbers like the shape of things to come

 

well it may already be here

 

where the fuck did so many Russians get a passport and are now in thialand?

 

they were not even able to leave the country up until 20 years ago
