Quote from: "GrAnnie"I had a pair of cockatiels 25 or so years ago. The male was a little a hole, he would attack her and rip her feathers out. She was a sweetheart and would lie in your hand upside down and loved belly rubs. She would coo and bat her eyes. She would say "hello" and "pretty bird, I'm a pretty bird" while he would whistle and screech. lol

They do make good pets I have heard.

I thought koalas were not friendly?

They are strange beasts. That one is quite young (you can tell by the size), but for some reason they will approach humans if they are in distress...usually because they need a drink. There are a number of pics of koala's botting water...one of the most famous...

I don't know about anyone else, but I can't tell it's age by it's size. I would've guessed it was full grown.

You can see the difference in size between the two...koalas grow slowly so size is a good indicator of age.

How long do they typically live in the wild?
