Vancouver has a an infamous crow named Canuck.  He's been filmed all over the city doing interesting things like riding on the windshield of his adoptive owner, travelling on the Skytrain or trying to make off with a weapon from a crime scene...

"While police were still at the scene, a curious crow flew down and picked up the knife, Const. Brian Montague told CTV News. The bird flew away, but dropped the knife while making its escape."

This "'caw'nvict" has quite the social media following.

Has the jail bird been apprehended yet?

RW

He's still at large.  My dad saw him the other day at a coffee shop trying to make off with someone's pastry.  Haha

Now if he used this as a distraction just imagine what he could get away with.

I've learned that if someone asks you a really stupid question and you reply by telling them what time it is, they'll leave you alone

Crows are highly intelligent birds.

smell the glove

Quote from: "Herman"Crows are highly intelligent birds.

Actually, they are the most intelligent living beings, apart from us humans.

A test of intelligence is the ability to use tools.  Some more intelligent animals can use rocks and whatnot as tools...

A true test is for an animal to make tools that suit their need.

Other than a human, the crow is the only animal that has been witnessed to actually make a tool to suit his need.

The study found that, the crow had the ability to bend a piece of wire into a "hook" of sorts, which was necessary to retrieve a piece of food from a tube.

No other animal, other than a human, has shown the ability to actually craft a tool for a specific purpose, and make it work.

Do not kid yourself...  The crow is only second to the human regarding intelligence.

They get huge where I live. Bigger than some hawks.

Priceless.

RW

My dad has "pet" crows around his place.  We feed them daily to the point where they peck on the window if we don't get their food out on time.  They are amazing critters.
