...this came to mind watching the Brexit Referendum Unfold in Europe.

Apart from being better organized, a major reason why the 'Leave' Side won is that their supporters came out to vote and the Youth vote didn't:

https://twitter.com/SkyData/status/746700869656256512">https://twitter.com/SkyData/status/746700869656256512

Quote% who got through our final #EUref poll turnout filter by age group:

18-24: 36%

25-34]58%[/color]

35-44: 72%

45-54: 75%

55-64: 81%

65+: 83%

Yet of those who managed to get off their butts, the Youth voted in overwhelming numbers to 'remain' in the EU.Thing is, it was they who would end up being the deciding factor in the referendum. Had they come out in sufficient numbers, the remain side would have won. However, they didn't and the numbers of older voters who showed up to vote for 'Leave' exceeded the younger voters.

And now the Young Voters are cryin' in the beer, asking for a Second Chance - a 2nd referendum

Can you believe it? Can you believe these young dummies were so stupid not to vote when so much was at stake? Their future? Their jobs? Their livelihoods? Their ability to travel and work throughout the European Union without hassle and a passport? Admittedly, I wasn't much better at their age, but heck, even I wasn't that stupid. When something which is that crucial to their futures, they should've woken up. They only got what they deserved, because simply put, they weren't responsible enough.

Which bring us back to the tale of Spiderman, where his inability as young college student later leads to the murder of his Uncle, for which he could have stopped, but didn't.

As a result his Uncle Ben dies.

and only then, Spiderman learns a hard lesson:

http://www.joeydevilla.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/spider-man-1.jpg">

Incredibly, the same tale has played itself out in real life events. The youth didn't do their part, let others decide their future for them, and now they're screwed.

Hence, with Great Power - there must also come Great Responsibility.

Just like Spidey remorsely walkin' into the sunset, now Britain's youth now have to live with their apathy,  inaction and stupidity - for an outcome they could have easily prevented and which may impact their lives forever.

With currencies and commodities tanking as a consequence of the leave side winning, the last thing most people think about is Spiderman.

....and yet the volatility of these currencies and commodities tanking hinged on large part Britain's Youth turning out in sufficient numbers to vote. They didn't and that's what was the deciding factor in the Brexit referendum. This was pointed out months ago before the crucial vote in Britains major newspapers:

For Joey, life is a children's  comic book

As for taking the country back, seems the youth fucked up and  fell into a good thing

Had they came out, they would have voted to stay onboard the sinking ship

...its a basic truth or dictum going back centuries from some of history's most renowned Philsophers. Some say Plato said it first.

Unfortunately, many learn the lesson too late.

To add insult to injury Iceland defeated England in Euro football.

Iceland - 350,000 cold people

Seems not a fluke. They have 5+ points, so must have won other games

Cc, you take sides and it doesn't appear that it was your referendum since you're not a citizen of the UK. You appear to be guided by a fear or hatred of Muslims. As an impartial observer, I just point out the flaws and strengths of either side. I think it just depends upon who a person was and how the Brexit would impact them which determined the way the voted. If I was a young business exec, I probably would voted to remain. If I were an older person living in a small town tied to tradition, I probably would've voted to exit.

Whatever the bias, I gotta admit, the main driver for the exit side, Neil Farage, comes across as nothing short of a Politiical Genius. Farage was brilliant. Actually when I saw him as an EU MP, I thought he was quite outstanding. At the same time for Brexit to work, the winning side has to make considerable compromises. Because too extreme a position could split the UK itself apart. Ie talk of Scotland leaving. Englands culture is precious but so is the unity of the United Kingdom. I hope Farage exhibits the brilliance he showed leading up to the brexit vote so that the UK can continue to thrive and stay together

Immigration was a key reason the leave side won. I would have voted no to if I was able to. Britain can take control of it's own borders and decide for themselves who gets in and who does not.
