I for one don't think Joe is an idiot.  The thread's been an interesting read because there is a multiplicity of opinions about the meaning of the phrase.



FTR, I disagree with most if not all of those opinions but I'm withholding mine except to mention Nigella Lawson...for reasons that I'm not willing to go into in this crowd.

For myself, visual beauty preferences do seem to mildly shift as time passes...  Of course, this happens in society also, over time.



Maybe men get bored with just one face?



It could be...  I have looked at a lot of beautiful women, and think to myself that there can be no better, ever.  And then, as time passes, another face becomes more beautiful to me.
